As if the Democrats don’t have enough problems in formulating an adequate opposition to the Trump agenda, they seemingly have decided to jump the shark AND walk the plank by shutting down the government if they don’t vote on the Republican CR in the Senate. Apparently, there were many glum Democratic Senators emerging from 2 hours of strategy earlier in the week.

And, to be sure, Trump is giving them plenty to oppose. His “Ready Fire Aim” approach to tariff policy is leaving the markets in turmoil. But Democrats would rather make pro-Hamas agitator and terrorist sympathizer, Mahmoud Khalil, their new poster child for anti-Semitism. That doesn’t excuse the right with its flirtation with the notorious Tate brothers…
