The Trump Administration’s first 100 days can only be described as a constant rollercoaster movie of twists and turns and ups and downs, as we have consistently run out of popcorn while spilling it all over the floor.

We see a dichotomy of policy and results. With immigration – an overwhelmingly secure border, but lawfare bogging down the ability to deport criminal terrorists. With the economy – a full dismantling of the regulatory state across several industries, but a needless trade war that threatens to cripple Trump’s entire presidency. On foreign policy – the needed consolidation of resources and missions within the State Department with a competent executive in Secretary Rubio, but a haphazard and discombobulated approach to ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

We could go on. But the bright spot emerging within the chaos is Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent – a serious and thoughtful voice throughout the administration who seems to understand that the time to settle the trade issues while extending real tax reform is of the essence.
