William Anthony Hay is the associate director for public programs and professor in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership (SCETL) at Arizona State University. A historian specializing in Britain and the Atlantic World, he also writes on international relations and foreign policy. SCETL aims to look beyond time and borders to explore the fundamental questions of life, freedom and governance, and discover the guiding principles of America’s founders and the leaders who have inspired us.
